After an incredibly busy few weeks in the café, and with the Valentine’s at Home menu proving extremely popular, we’ve decided to take a couple of weeks off to recuperate whilst staff are still supported on the furlough scheme and schools remain closed.
We’ve loved seeing our wonderful customers throughout our lockdown take away venture, but as we’ve been working in a very small team in order to maintain social distancing and keep staff safe in our tiny workspace, it’s been quite a tiring job! So we thought it best that we take a couple of weeks to recharge, spend some quality time with our families and get some essential maintenance jobs and spring cleaning done in the café whilst we’re still in lockdown.
We’re aiming to open up again at the start of March, but some jobs may take a little longer than expected, so we’re going to see how we get on over the next week or so and I’ll post an update as soon as we know a definite reopening date.
Hopefully when we’re back, we’ll be able to open on more days and reintroduce some of your old favourites to the menu – and fingers crossed it won’t be long until we can welcome you back in to join us for a proper sit down brunch, lunch, coffee and of course plenty of CAKE!
