There’s no denying that Valentine’s Day is usually one of the biggest days of the year for the hospitality industry, with loved up couples old and young treating themselves to a romantic meal out. So with lockdown restrictions meaning we can’t welcome you and your loved ones into the café this year, we had to start thinking what we could do to help give the feel of a special meal out from the safety of your own homes and we came up with this menu!
The menu indicates dishes that are gluten free (gf) and those that can be made vegan (veo) or gluten free (gfo) so please let us know of any dietary requirements when ordering. You’re welcome to order for less or more than two people as well if you’d like to share a special meal with your whole household, or deliver a treat to a loved one on their own, so prices are for individual portions and there’s no obligation to order all three courses.
As with our Christmas Dinner at Home menu, most of the dishes on the Valentine’s menu will be served in reusable dishes like these that are easy to pop straight into the oven, and look lovely on your table to help give the illusion of going out for dinner as well as avoiding using too much throw away packaging. There is a small deposit to pay on the dishes that is fully refundable, and this time we are asking that you bring them back rather than keep them for future use, ideally by the end of February so we can use them again for upcoming dine at home events! The smaller dishes used for starters and desserts have a £1 deposit on them, and the larger dishes used for mains and sides have a £2.50 deposit on them. When you place your order we will let you know exactly how much deposit you’ll be charged as each order will be slightly different.

Once we’ve confirmed your order and the deposit price, an email will be sent to you with an invoice and online payment link to pay before collection to secure your order. Orders will be ready to collect from The Honey Pot, 5 Parade St, Penzance, TR18 4BU on Saturday 13th February and you can collect any time between 10AM and 2:30PM when the cafe will be open for take away. The last date for taking orders is Thursday 11th so make sure you get in early to avoid disappointment!
