We’ve been busy bees this winter having a big renovation at The Honey Pot. We can’t wait to open our beautifully restored cafe space and fully kitted out new commercial kitchen this Spring! We are hiring in a range of positions from junior to senior roles, with part-time and full-time opportunities available. The exact start dates of jobs are TBC, but all positions will need to be fulfilled by early summer at the latest. JOB Role: Office manager/ bookkeeper (4-8 hours per week)

We are looking for a part-time office manager to help Rachel (owner/general manager) with the administration, paperwork and basic bookkeeping for the company. We are looking for someone with experience in an administration role who is used to managing their own workload and can implement systems to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

You must have experience using online accounting software and have a good knowledge of Excel as well as top-tier organisational and filing skills.

JOB Role: Front of House Manager/Events Coordinator (job share)

We’re looking for an experienced hospitality hero to join us in a long-term senior position in partnership with Ella (our other front of house manager) and Rachel in our newly refurbished restaurant.

You must have experience managing a fast-paced hospitality environment with a passion for good food, good coffee and essentially, people. We are looking for someone that can greet our customers with genuine warmth and provide the best service possible. You must be available to work evenings, weekends and during school holidays. Hours will increase during summer months, with an average of 30 hours per week across the year.

JOB Role: Kitchen Manager

We’re looking for an experienced chef/cook to join us in a long-term senior position in partnership with another kitchen manager and Rachel (owner/general manager) in our brand new kitchen! You must have a passion for flavour with exceptional cooking skills and experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced kitchen. You must be able to learn quickly to follow The Honey Pot working style to efficiently whip up our home cooked food from scratch, using the best local and seasonal produce, and present it beautifully for our customers. Excellent organisational skills are a must-have, including ordering and managing stock, health & hygiene management, delegating kitchen service and prep jobs and ensuring smooth daily service. Some admin work will also be required, both in liaising with suppliers and in managing kitchen staff shifts/arranging absence cover.

Hours will increase during summer months and decrease during the low season, with an average of approximately 30 hours per week across the year. You must be able to work evenings, weekends and during school holidays. JOB Role: Front of House Waiting Staff and Baristas

We’re looking for outgoing, friendly people who can warmly serve our customers, going above and beyond to give them the best experience possible in our cosy but fast-paced restaurant.

You must be reliable and flexible with a great attendance record, high energy level and a willingness to learn fast and work hard. Ideally, we’re looking for people with experience in a front of house hospitality role and with barista training, but for the right person all training can be provided.

We’re looking for part and full-time chefs/cooks/bakers to join us in our brand-new kitchen. You must have great cooking skills and a love of food with big flavours, preferably with some experience of professional cooking or working in a fast-paced café or restaurant setting. You must be a fast learner and be able to follow direction from the senior kitchen staff to make our delicious home-cooked food from scratch and prepare it efficiently, making sure it is beautifully presented for our customers. You must be reliable and flexible, able to work a mixture of weekday, weekend and evening shifts with availability throughout school holidays.

Job Role: Kitchen Porter

We’re looking for Kitchen Porters to join our team at The Honey Pot in our brand new kitchen! You must have a basic understanding of food safety and hygiene and be enthusiastic about expanding your skills, taking pride and care in your work. You must be reliable, flexible and able to work a mixture of weekday, weekend and evening shifts throughout the year, including during school holidays.

You will be required to quickly and effectively wash dishes by hand and in a commercial dishwasher, dry and return them to their place efficiently. During quiet times, there will be an opportunity in this position to learn aspects of the kitchen or front of house, depending on skills and what area you’re interested in, with the opportunity to progress into one of these roles in the future. Job Role: Cleaner

We’re looking for reliable, experienced professional cleaners to clean our restaurant, customer bathroom and commercial kitchen to maintain hygiene standards to the highest level and keep the restaurant looking beautiful for our customers. Part time position, 3-4 days per week, approximately 2-3 hours per clean, 5pm-7pm with some late cleans (10pm-midnight) in summer season. £30 per evening clean, £35 per late clean. Full job spec here.
